The tall, energetic, citrus-pine side of Blueberry × Haze, selected and stabilized. Three feminized lines — Haze Select, Pure Haze Pheno and Haze Fast — from Haze Sativa Seeds, for growers with headroom who want a daytime flower and are willing to wait for it.
Blue Dream sativa seeds grow the Haze-leaning expression of a cultivar that most breeders sell as a balanced 60/40 hybrid. Every Blue Dream pack segregates toward one parent or the other; Haze Sativa Seeds has spent seven generations selecting the plants that lean toward Super Silver Haze — longer internodes, a three-fold stretch, a 10–12 week bloom, a lemon-incense edge over the berry base, and the clear, energetic reported effect that sativa growers want — and fixing that phenotype so a pack grows it every time. The plants yield 550–750 g/m² (1.8–2.5 oz/ft²) indoors under a net, reach 3.5 m outdoors, test at 20–25% THC, and keep the resilience that makes any Blue Dream a forgiving grow. Every line is feminized to a 99.9% female rate, covered by a 12-month germination guarantee and shipped discreetly worldwide.
70/30 or 80/20 sativa expression by line; selected toward Super Silver Haze over seven generations
Selected toward Haze, not the middle. Seven generations of selection raised the population’s mean stretch from 2.2× to 2.8× and its bloom from 65 to 73 days; over 90% of plants are scored “clear and energetic” by a blind panel.
Plan for the height before buying. Final height is roughly flip height × the line’s stretch factor, minus 25–35% for a net; flip at 35–45 cm for a 2 m tent.
Three lines at three points on the scale: Haze Select 70/30 in 10–11 weeks, Pure Haze Pheno 80/20 in 11–12, Haze Fast 70/30 in 8–9 for a standard tent or a cool autumn.
Harvest on trichomes, not the calendar: cloudy with 5–10% amber at day 70–77 on Haze Select; a Haze gains much of its weight and resin in the last fortnight.
Highest-yielding Blue Dream per plant: 600–750 g/m² under a net, up to 3.5 kg outdoors, with Blue Dream’s mold resistance and vigor unchanged.

Why Select Blue Dream Toward Its Sativa Side?
Blue Dream earned its reputation as a sativa-dominant strain, yet most of what is sold under the name has been bred toward the middle: shorter, faster, denser, easier to fit in a tent. That is a reasonable commercial choice and it is not what every grower wants.
The Haze-leaning phenotype that the original Santa Cruz cut was known for — the one that stretched to the ceiling, took eleven weeks, smelled of lemon and incense and produced the clear, motivating daytime flower people meant when they called Blue Dream a sativa — is still in the genetics. Haze Sativa Seeds selects for it on purpose.
The trade is explicit. A sativa-selected Blue Dream needs more height, more patience and more training than the balanced version; it rewards those with a larger harvest per plant, a more energetic reported effect and an aroma that leans toward the Haze parent’s citrus, pine and spice. It is the right seed for a grower with a 2 m-plus tent or a greenhouse, an outdoor plot with a long season, and a preference for daytime flower over evening flower. It is the wrong seed for a 1.5 m tent, a short northern summer or a grower who wants the Blueberry sweetness front and center — the comparison covers those cases.
Daytime flower
Clear, energetic, creative reported effect with little body heaviness; the profile most users associate with a Haze.
Yield per plant
The stretch and branching that make the plant tall also carry more bud sites: 600–750 g/m² under a net, up to 3.5 kg outdoors.
Blue Dream resilience
Mold resistance, nutrient tolerance and vigor are unchanged; the Haze selection shifts structure and effect, not hardiness.
Plan for the height before buying. A Haze Select plant flipped at 50 cm finishes near 1.5 m; a Pure Haze Pheno flipped at the same height can pass 1.8 m. Growers with less than 2 m of usable height should flip at 30–40 cm, run a two-layer net, or choose Haze Fast, which stretches less. See managing the stretch.
Three Sativa Lines: Haze Select, Pure Haze Pheno and Haze Fast
Haze Sativa Seeds offers Blue Dream in three feminized photoperiod lines that sit at different points on the sativa scale. All three descend from the same Haze-leaning selection of Santa Cruz-lineage Blue Dream, all three are verified to a 99.9% female rate, and all three flower on a 12/12 trigger. The table is the single reference for every number quoted on this page.

Blue Dream Haze Select
Choose Haze Select for the sativa Blue Dream most growers are looking for: a 70/30 expression that stretches two and a half to three times after the flip, flowers in 10–11 weeks, and fills a net with long, resinous colas that smell of lemon and pine over a berry base. This is Haze Sativa Seeds’ reference line, fixed in 2021 after five generations of selection, and it balances the Haze parent’s structure and effect against enough Blueberry to keep the buds dense and the bloom under eleven weeks.
Haze Select wants a tent of at least 2 m, a four- to five-week veg with two toppings, a trellis net at 40–50 cm and a second at 80 cm, and a light of 600 W or more over 1.2 × 1.2 m. Grown that way it produces 600–750 g/m² and is the highest-yielding Blue Dream the company sells. Outdoors it finishes in late October and needs a dry autumn.
Choose Pure Haze Pheno for the furthest Blue Dream can be taken toward its Haze parent without ceasing to be Blue Dream. The line is an 80/20 expression selected from the tallest, latest, most incense-scented individuals in the Haze Select population: it stretches three to three and a half times, flowers in 11–12 weeks, carries long, slightly airier colas with heavy resin, and tests at 21–25% THC with a terpene profile that leans toward terpinolene and limonene. The reported effect is the most energetic and cerebral of the three lines.
Pure Haze Pheno is a greenhouse and tall-room plant. Indoors it needs 2.4 m or more, a flip at 30–40 cm, super-cropping in week nine and the patience to wait for week twelve; outdoors it reaches 4 m and finishes in early November, which confines it to Mediterranean, subtropical and southern-hemisphere climates. It is sold for growers who know what a Haze asks and want one with Blue Dream’s vigor and berry undertone.
Choose Haze Fast for the sativa character in a standard tent or a cooler climate. The line keeps the 70/30 expression, the lemon-berry aroma and the clear daytime effect of Haze Select, but was developed by crossing an early-finishing Blue Dream back into the Haze selection and keeping photoperiod-dependent offspring with a shorter bloom: 8–9 weeks after the flip, a two- to two-and-a-half-fold stretch, and a finished height of 1.3–1.7 m trained. Outdoors it finishes in early October, three weeks ahead of Haze Select.
Haze Fast is not an autoflower; it still waits for the light to drop, can be vegged as long as the grower wants and can be cloned. Yield is 500–650 g/m² and THC 19–23%. It is the line for a 1.8 m tent, a continental climate with a wet late October, or a grower who wants the sativa effect without an eleven-week wait.
Sativa-Leaning vs Balanced vs Indica-Leaning Blue Dream
“Sativa” and “indica” on a seed pack describe growth habit and reported effect rather than botany, and in Blue Dream they describe which parent a phenotype favors. The same cross produces three recognizable expressions; the table places Haze Sativa Seeds’ lines against the balanced phenotype most breeders sell and the Blueberry-leaning phenotype a few select for, so a grower can see what is being traded.

The Haze Parent: Where Blue Dream’s Sativa Side Comes From
Blue Dream is a cross of Blueberry — the indica-leaning cultivar associated with breeder DJ Short — and a Haze sativa, most often reported as Super Silver Haze, attributed to the medical cannabis community around Santa Cruz, California, in the early 2000s. Super Silver Haze was itself bred in the 1990s from Skunk #1, Northern Lights #5 and the original Haze — a long-flowering sativa line developed in Santa Cruz in the 1970s from Colombian, Mexican, Thai and South Indian landraces. That ancestry is why the Haze-leaning Blue Dream phenotype stretches, branches, takes eleven weeks and produces an energetic effect: it is expressing the equatorial sativa genetics three generations back.

Selection toward the Haze parent works by growing 40–60 plants per generation, scoring each on internode length, stretch ratio, days to finish, cola shape, terpene profile and a blind panel’s assessment of the cured flower’s character, and keeping only the plants in the top quarter on the sativa axis as parents. Over seven generations the population’s average stretch rose from 2.2× to 2.8×, average bloom from 65 to 73 days, and the proportion of plants a blind panel described as “clear and energetic” rather than “relaxing” from about half to over 90%. The Blueberry contribution was deliberately retained for bud density, mold resistance and the berry undertone; a Blue Dream selected all the way to Haze would simply be a Haze.
From Super Silver Haze (sativa side)Stretch, long internodes, 10–12 week bloom, resin, limonene-terpinolene-pinene profile, energetic reported effect. Visible on the lines as a three-fold stretch, open branching, long tapering colas, lemon and incense aroma from week five.
From Blueberry (indica side)Calyx density, mold resistance, myrcene and berry undertone, cold-triggered pigment. Visible as colas denser than a pure Haze, berry beneath the citrus after cure, purple hints in cool nights.
Cannabis cultivation is illegal in many jurisdictions. The information below is educational and intended only for regions where home growing is permitted; see the legal status section before germinating any seed.
A sativa Blue Dream is grown like any Blue Dream in its first six weeks and like a Haze after the flip. The grower’s three jobs are to flip early enough, to build a canopy that spreads the stretch sideways, and to wait for the plant to finish on its own schedule. The schedule below is for Haze Select in a 1.2 × 1.2 × 2.2 m tent with a four-week veg; Pure Haze Pheno adds a week and needs a lower flip, Haze Fast removes two weeks of bloom. The grow-out log further down was recorded on this schedule.

Haze-leaning Blue Dream seeds germinate like any Blue Dream: 24–72 hours at 21–27 °C by paper towel, starter cube or direct sowing, all three recognized under the Haze Sativa Seeds guarantee. Seedlings on the sativa lines tend to show their character early — longer first internodes and a taller, thinner first fortnight — which is normal and not a sign of stretching for light.

Managing the Stretch: Flip Height, Nets and Super-Cropping
The stretch is the defining event of a sativa Blue Dream grow and the reason most failures happen: a plant that looked manageable at the flip reaches the light four weeks later. The chart shows Haze Sativa Seeds’ logged final heights for plants flipped at different canopy heights, with and without a net; the rule it illustrates is that final height is roughly flip height multiplied by the line’s stretch factor, and that a net flattens the result by 25–35% by forcing growth sideways.
1.05 m flip 35, net
1.4 m flip 50, net
2.0 m flip 50, no net

2.6 m flip 60, no net
Final height of Haze Select by flip height (cm) and training, Haze Sativa Seeds 2026 grow-out, 2.2 m tent. Green bars are netted plants; amber is the tallest, untrained result.
Four techniques, in the order the company applies them. Flip early, at 35–45 cm of canopy, and let the stretch do the vegetative work; a Haze flipped at 60 cm will outgrow most tents. Top twice in veg and tie the leaders flat so the plant enters flower wide rather than tall. Run two nets — the first at 40 cm to hold the canopy level through the stretch, the second at 80 cm to catch the colas — and tuck every day for the first three weeks of 12/12. Super-crop any leader that escapes: pinch the stem between thumb and forefinger until it softens, bend it horizontal, and let it heal into a knuckle; done in week eight or nine on a Haze this costs nothing and brings a runaway cola back under the light.

Outdoor Height, Climate and the Late Finish
Outdoors, a sativa Blue Dream becomes a tree: Haze Select reaches 3.5 m in the ground and Pure Haze Pheno 4 m, with the yield to match. The constraint is the calendar. These lines begin flowering in mid-August in the northern hemisphere and finish between early October (Haze Fast) and early November (Pure Haze Pheno), which means they need a long, dry autumn and are at risk from rain and botrytis in any climate where October is wet. The table matches line to climate; light deprivation — a blackout tarp from 19:00 to 07:00 from early July — brings any line forward by three to four weeks for growers at the margin.

Flowering Time and the Haze Grower’s Patience
Haze Select flowers in 10–11 weeks after the flip, Pure Haze Pheno in 11–12 and Haze Fast in 8–9, and the single most common mistake with a sativa is harvesting at week eight because the calendar says so. Haze-leaning plants put on a visible proportion of their final weight and most of their resin in the last two weeks, and their trichomes turn cloudy later than an indica’s. The signals are the usual ones — pistils darkening and curling inward, trichomes shifting from clear to cloudy — but the grower should expect them a fortnight later than on a balanced Blue Dream and should resist cutting until mostly cloudy with 5–10% amber.
Clear trichomes · day 49–60

Yield From a Tall Plant
The same stretch that makes a sativa Blue Dream difficult to house is what makes it the highest-yielding Blue Dream per plant: more internodes mean more bud sites, and a Haze that has been spread across a net presents far more of them to the light than a compact plant can. Haze Select under a net yields 600–750 g/m², the highest figure Haze Sativa Seeds records for any Blue Dream; an untrained plant in the same tent yields 400–500 g/m² because most of its colas sit in the shade of the topmost one. The table gives expected dry weight by line and training for four common footprints.

Selecting toward the Haze parent shifts Blue Dream’s terpene balance as much as its structure. Myrcene remains the largest single terpene on Haze Select, but its share falls; limonene, terpinolene and alpha-pinene rise, and on Pure Haze Pheno terpinolene approaches myrcene. In Haze Sativa Seeds’ testing after a four-week cure, Haze Select carried 2.0–2.5% total terpenes, with a profile that smells of lemon, pine and incense over a berry base; Pure Haze Pheno smells of incense, citrus and pepper with the berry faint; Haze Fast sits closest to standard Blue Dream, berry and lemon in equal measure.

A clear, energetic, cerebral onset — described by most users as motivating and sociable — with little body heaviness; the profile people mean by a daytime sativa. Pure Haze Pheno is reported as the most intense and the longest-lasting; Haze Fast the most balanced. Effects vary by harvest timing, dose and individual.
Possible adverse effects
Dry mouth and dry eyes; the racy, anxious or overstimulated feeling some users report from strong sativas is more common on these lines than on balanced Blue Dream, particularly Pure Haze Pheno at larger amounts. Adults should start low. Haze Sativa Seeds makes no medical claims; see the FAQ.

A sativa-selected seed has the same status as any other cannabis seed: it contains no measurable THC and in most of North America and Europe is classified as hemp genetic material, a collectible or an agricultural product. The plant is cannabis wherever it grows and subject to local cultivation law. Two rules bear more on a sativa grower than on others. Several jurisdictions that permit home cultivation require plants to be out of public view or inside a locked enclosure — a 3.5 m Haze on an open plot is neither — and a few cap plant height or canopy area outright. Haze Sativa Seeds sells to adults aged 21 and over, ships seeds as collectible genetics, and expects buyers to confirm the rules that apply before germinating. The table is informational, not legal advice, as of October 2026.

“Haze Fast gave me the sativa in a 1.8 m tent. Couldn’t run the Select in my tent. Fast flipped at 45 cm, finished at 1.4 m on day 61, 560 g. Still clearly a Haze in effect, a bit more berry in the taste. Will run it again.”★★★★★ Tom R. · Verified purchase · August 2026 · Haze Fast, indoor
“My fault: flipped at 65 cm with no net. Hit the light at week nine and had to bend everything sideways in a panic. Lost two colas to burn. Still got 480 g and the flower is excellent, but the warning on this page is there for a reason. Support talked me through super-cropping on the phone.”★★★☆☆ Grace L. · Verified purchase · July 2026 · Haze Select, indoor
Haze Sativa Seeds is a seed bank and breeding operation founded in 2014 by two growers who had spent the previous fifteen years working with Haze lines in the Netherlands and California and wanted to preserve the sativa expression of popular hybrids that the market was steadily breeding toward the middle. The company maintains its own selected populations, scores every generation on structure, bloom length and a blind panel’s assessment of the cured flower, and publishes only stretch, bloom and yield figures from its own logged grow-outs. The Blue Dream program began in 2015; Haze Select was fixed in 2021, Pure Haze Pheno released in 2023 and Haze Fast in 2025. Feminized stock is produced by silver-thiosulfate reversal and verified by batch grow-out, and every seed lot is laboratory tested to confirm delta-9 THC below 0.3% for shipment as hemp genetics.
The answers below use the figures in the line table; legal and health answers carry the same disclaimers as the sections above.
The sativa side
Isn’t all Blue Dream sativa-dominant? What makes these seeds different?
Blue Dream is sativa-dominant by lineage, but most seed on the market has been selected toward the balanced 60/40 middle for shorter, faster plants. Haze Sativa Seeds selects the other way, toward the Super Silver Haze parent, for a 70–80% sativa expression with longer bloom, greater stretch and a clearer, more energetic reported effect. See why select toward the sativa side.
Haze Select, Pure Haze Pheno or Haze Fast — which should I grow?
Haze Select for most sativa growers with a 2 m tent and a net. Pure Haze Pheno for greenhouses, tall rooms and Haze purists willing to wait twelve weeks. Haze Fast for a standard 1.8 m tent, a cooler climate or a grower who wants the sativa effect in nine weeks. The line table compares every number.
What is the THC level?
Breeder-reported THC is 20–25% for Haze Select, 21–25% for Pure Haze Pheno and 19–23% for Haze Fast, from tested flower in the company’s grow-outs. Potency depends on light intensity, harvest timing and curing.
What are the side effects of a sativa Blue Dream?
Dry mouth and dry eyes; the racy, anxious or overstimulated feeling some users report from strong sativas is more common on these lines than on balanced Blue Dream, especially Pure Haze Pheno at larger amounts. Adults should start low. Blue Dream is not a medical product and Haze Sativa Seeds makes no therapeutic claims; consult a physician about any health concern.
Height, bloom and growing
How tall will a sativa Blue Dream get?
Trained indoors, Haze Select finishes at 1.5–2.0 m, Pure Haze Pheno at 1.8–2.4 m and Haze Fast at 1.3–1.7 m; final height is roughly flip height multiplied by the stretch factor (2–3.5×), minus 25–35% for a net. Outdoors in the ground: up to 3.5 m, 4 m and 2.8 m respectively. See managing the stretch.
How long do these lines take to flower?
Haze Select 10–11 weeks after 12/12, Pure Haze Pheno 11–12 weeks, Haze Fast 8–9 weeks, plus the veg length the grower chooses. Haze-leaning plants gain much of their final weight in the last fortnight, so harvest on trichomes, not on week eight. See flowering time.
What is the minimum tent height?
2 m of usable height for Haze Select, 2.4 m for Pure Haze Pheno, 1.8 m for Haze Fast, assuming a flip at 35–45 cm and a net. In a lower tent, flip at 30 cm, run two nets and choose Haze Fast.
When should I flip to 12/12?
Early — at 35–45 cm of canopy for a 2 m tent — because the three- to four-week stretch after the flip does the vegetative work a balanced plant would need extra veg weeks for. A Haze flipped at 60 cm or more will outgrow most tents without a net.
What yield do the sativa lines give?
Under a net and 600 W or more: Haze Select 600–750 g/m², Pure Haze Pheno 550–700 g/m², Haze Fast 500–650 g/m²; untrained, 400–500 g/m². Outdoors a single plant yields 600 g to 4 kg by line and season. Use the yield table.
Can I grow a sativa Blue Dream outdoors in a cool climate?
Haze Fast, which finishes in early October, suits a continental climate with a wet late October; with light deprivation from early July it finishes in mid-September and suits northern latitudes. Haze Select and Pure Haze Pheno need a long, dry autumn — Mediterranean, subtropical or southern-hemisphere. See outdoor height and climate.
Is a sativa Blue Dream harder to grow?
Not in resilience — mold resistance, nutrient tolerance and vigor are unchanged — but it demands more planning: an early flip, two nets, super-cropping and patience. Hazes also burn more easily under heavy feeding than indicas, so feed moderately in bloom.
What is the best way to germinate these seeds?
Paper towel at 21–27 °C in the dark, planting root-down 5–10 mm deep at a 5–10 mm taproot; or a starter cube; or direct sowing in a 1 L pot. All three are covered by the guarantee. Steps under germination.
Can I keep a mother plant from these lines?
Yes; all three are photoperiod feminized lines that clone readily, rooting in 7–12 days. Take a cutting of each plant at week two of bloom, keep them under 18/6, and keep the cutting of the best plant. Refresh the mother from seed every two to three years.
How should I store the seeds?
Sealed in the original pouch, inside an airtight container, in a cool, dark, dry place — ideally a refrigerator at 4–8 °C. Avoid freezing and temperature swings. Germination rate holds for two to three years.
Legal and ordering
Are these seeds legal to buy, and can I grow a 3 m plant outdoors?
Buying is legal in the US, Canada, the UK and most of the EU because a seed contains under 0.3% THC. Growing is governed by local cultivation law, and most jurisdictions that permit home growing require plants out of public view or in a locked enclosure; some cap height or canopy. Buyers must be 21 or older. See the regional table.
How much do sativa Blue Dream seeds cost per seed?
Haze Select costs $16 per seed in a pack of three, $15 in five, $12.90 in ten and $10.60 in 25. Pure Haze Pheno costs $18.33, $17, $14.90 and $11.96. Haze Fast costs $15, $13.80, $11.90 and $9.96. Free seeds are added to every order over $75.
Do you ship worldwide and is the packaging discreet?
Haze Sativa Seeds ships to every country where seed possession is lawful, same day for orders before 14:00 UTC, in plain packaging with no reference to the contents. Transit is 3–7 business days to the US, 5–10 to Canada, 7–14 to the UK and EU and 10–21 elsewhere. Orders over $75 ship free. See shipping.
What is guaranteed?
Germination: seeds that fail to sprout are replaced free once per order within 12 months with the order number, a recognized method and a request within 14 days. Phenotype: a Haze Select or Pure Haze Pheno plant that finishes under 2× stretch and under 60 days, documented with dated photographs, is replaced with a full pack.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer (SEPA, ACH, wire), Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies, and cash by registered mail. Card statements show a neutral descriptor.
Do you sell balanced, indica-leaning, autoflower or regular Blue Dream seeds?
No. Haze Sativa Seeds stocks sativa-selected Blue Dream only: Haze Select, Pure Haze Pheno and Haze Fast. Balanced, Blueberry-leaning, autoflower and regular Blue Dream lines are sold through separate dedicated catalogs.

Kevin Sullivan runs post-harvest operations at Haze Sativa Seeds, which places him at the end of every grow cycle this page describes — drying, curing, seed handling and storage. For this guide he compiled the stretch, bloom and yield figures from the company’s 2026 Haze Select grow-out and reviewed the flip-height, netting and harvest guidance against the store’s own sativa grows.
He reviews the agronomic values published here against catalogue records and submitted grower reports before each revision.
